Sutton's academy side earned a good point on Tuesday against a Plymouth team still unbeaten after seven games in the EFL Youth Alliance Merit League 1.

In a game of few clear chances at the Xcel Sporting Hub in Walton, both goalkeepers made good close range saves in the first half, Daniel Olabiyi denied for Sutton, while in the second half the closest to a goal for Sutton came when Matthew Nwanekezie's low shot was blocked by the Plymouth keeper's legs, and at the other end Sam Roberts made a good save to tip over a close range shot.

The next EFL Youth Alliance game is on Saturday morning when Sutton visit the side that finished top of the South West division, AFC Bournemouth. The game is at the Canford Arena, kick off 11am.
