Sutton United supports Little Box of Books at Royal Marsden Hospital

20 April 2023

Sutton United and the Sutton United Foundation were represented by Enzio Boldewijn and Brad House, along with the Head of the Foundation Bobby Childs, as they made a visit to the Oak Centre for Children and Young People at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Banstead on Wednesday to deliver boxes of books  in support of the Little Box of Books Campaign.

The campaign sells inclusive and representative children's story books from top publishers that reflect the diversity of our population, selling them to families and schools, to help more children see themselves in the books they read and help all children understand the world and their place in it. The Oak Centre is one of the largest comprehensive children and young people's cancer centres in Europe.

Enzio said afterwards: ''I met some amazing children, and they are an inspiration, every one of them.''

Head of Foundation Bobby Childs commented: ''The players and myself were so pleased to meet the children and were made to feel very welcome by their warmth and positivity. Not all were football fans but they certainly loved the books and appreciated our visit, and we look forward to taking the team back in the summer to play outside.''
