Sutton's academy side suffered a first defeat of the EFL Youth Alliance season this morning against a Wimbledon side who retain a 100% record after three games.
It didn't look as though it would end that way when Sutton took an early lead, Cameron Sullivan's corner from the right glanced by a Wimbledon defender in to his own net, and U's had several opportunities to extend the lead in an encouraging performance, only to be pegged back by an equaliser close to the end of the first half.
Sutton came close to a winner ten minutes from time when a header clipped the top of the crossbar, but it was Wimbledon who grabbed a 90th minute winner to take the points.
