Manager Matt Gray has increased his attacking options with the signing of strikers Hisham Kasimu from Farnborough on a permanent deal and Matt Dennis on loan until the end of the season from MK Dons.

French striker Hisham, who is 25, impressed for Farnborough against U's in the FA Cup in November and is Boro's leading scorer this season having joined in the summer from Southern League Southern Division AFC Totton, for whom he scored   30  goals last season. He has also played for Blackfield and Langley, and Team Solent. Matt said: ''We were aware of Hisham before he played well against us in November, and Terry Bullivant and I have watched him again since then and have been impressed with him. We're very grateful to Spencer Day and Farnborough for their help with the deal, and as part of the arrangement we will play them in a pre-season friendly next season and look forward to taking a strong squad there.''

20-year-old Matt joined MK Dons in the summer from Norwich City, where he had been top scorer in the Under 23 side in the 2020-21 season. A former Arsenal youngster, he had a successful loan spell with National League Southend United last season. Matt Gray said: ''Matt is a player I've been tracking for while and I was interested in him in the summer before he got a good move to MK Dons. I'm pleased to welcome him for the rest of the season. Along with Hisham he will provide good competition for the attacking places.''

Hisham will have squad number 29 and Matt will be number 35, and both are available for Saturday's trip to Harrogate.
