On Thursday 21 September we are delighted to welcome former Fulham, Queens Park Rangers, Manchester City and England star Rodney Marsh for an evening of tales and reminiscences from his illustrious career, and you can still buy tickets at the early bird price of £22.50.
Rodney was a star of the Queens Park Rangers side, then in the old third division, that came back from 2-0 down to beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2 in the first League Cup final played at Wembley in 1967, scoring a brilliant equaliser, and was the leading scorer as Rangers won successive promotions from the third division to the top flight in the late 1960s. He went on to play over 100 games for Manchester City and then spent three years with NASL side Tampa Bay Rowdies before returning for a spell at Fulham where he had started his career in the early 1960s, and in that second spell he lined up alongside George Best during the 1976-77 season (below). He was capped nine times by England.
Now based in America, we're delighted that Rodney will be at the club on Thursday week recalling those days, and until this Friday, 15 September, tickets are still on sale at the early bird price of £22.50. You can buy tickets here. Doors open at 6.30pm with the evening starting at 7.00pm, and pre-show food will be available to purchase.
