What's on in Ambers' this weekend

11 April 2024

Once more this weekend there is plenty of live sport to watch on the TV screens in Ambers' Bar, which is now open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to the weekend's top football, we also have the Grand National on Saturday afternoon, and the US Masters Golf tournament on all three days.

On Friday evening both ends of the Championship table will be affected as Leicester City, still top of the table despite Tuesday's defeat at Millwall, travel to Home Park to face Plymouth Argyle, whose point against QPR on Tuesday left them just two points outside the relegation zone. Kick off is 8pm live on Sky Sports. NB There is no Boom Boom on Friday but Crystal Palace Under 21s do face Chelsea at the VBS, kick off 7pm. More details here

On Saturday it's one of the horse racing highlights of the year with the third day of the Aintree meeting culminating in the Grand National as Corach Rambler bids to win for the second year running. The race is slightly earlier than recent years, off at 4pm, which means that it will be finished and all the presentations done by the time Bournemouth and Manchester United kick off in the Premier League at 5.30pm live on Sky.

On Sunday, after Crystal Palace women look to keep up their Women's Championship challenge against Birmingham at 2pm (further details here) it's an Arsenal double header as the men's team's challenge for the Premier League sees them at home to Aston Villa at 4.30pm, and at 6.45pm their women's team face Bristol City in the Women's Premier League.

Meanwhile at Augusta the world's top golfers take part in the first major of the year, the US Masters, and you can follow all the early action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Ambers'.
