U’s appoint new Commercial and Marketing Directors

3 June 2024

Sutton United Football Club can confirm two new appointments in the commercial and marketing departments.

Matthew Disley joins as Commercial Director, arriving at the VBS Community Stadium this summer from League Two side Grimsby Town, having previously undertaken the position of Sales & Marketing Executive at Oasis Health Club.

Upon joining, Disley stated “I am incredibly excited to move to a new area and join a club with a rich history. The club’s ambition sold my decision, and I have great ideas to bring revenue into and drive the club forward commercially as they look to return to the EFL.”

Jack Daly meanwhile joins the club as Marketing Director, having previously held the position of Marketing and Partnerships Coordinator at Forest Green Rovers which took place alongside his role as a scout during his time at The New Lawn.

Prior to his move to Gloucestershire, Daly was also the Head of Commercial and Marketing at Lisburn Distillery FC in his native Northern Ireland, which had followed a role as Head of Marketing & Business Development at Northern Cricket Union of Ireland.

Daly added “Sutton has huge potential, which was a massive factor for me in joining the club. We aren't a National League club anymore, this is an EFL club, and we will bring the club back to where it belongs and deserves to be".

Both Daly and Disley will be responsible for the marketing and commercial strategy across the entire club, covering the likes of sponsorship and digital content amongst various other elements, and will be looking to drive growth throughout.
