Successful candidates will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and be enthusiastic and hardworking, with responsibilities including meeting deadlines, communicating effectively, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability in all tasks.

Kitchen Assistants & Front of House Team Members

Are you looking for a fun, part-time job where you can be part of the action? We’re looking for enthusiastic people of all ages to join our catering team on matchdays at Sutton United!

Whether you’re starting your first job or looking to gain new experience to an extensive career, this could be a great opportunity to:

  • Work around the excitement of live football and see the players up close

No experience needed for all roles—just a great attitude and a willingness to get involved. Flexible hours, training provided, and a great atmosphere guaranteed.

Typical shifts would be Tuesday Evenings and Saturday Morning/Afternoon, with other days becoming available later in the year.

Voluntary PA Announcer

An exciting opportunity has become available at Sutton United Football Club on a volunteer basis, within the Media & Communications team.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic PA Announcer; someone who will be the voice of the club on matchdays, helping create an exciting atmosphere for fans and ensuring that important information is delivered clearly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Announce team line-ups, substitutions, scorers, and other key match events
  • Share half time and full time updates, including scores from other fixtures if provided
  • Deliver sponsor messages, club announcements, and supporter information as directed
  • Help maintain a safe environment by making clear emergency announcements if required
  • Work closely with the matchday operations team to ensure announcements are accurate and well-timed

Essentials:

  • Confident, clear speaking voice with good diction
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when speaking live
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to attending home fixtures (Saturday afternoons and Tuesday/Wednesday nights)
  • Good communication and teamwork skill

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of football
  • Previous experience with public speaking, commentary, or PA systems
  • Ability to engage supporters with energy and enthusiasm

Voluntary Programme Contributor

An exciting opportunity has become available at Sutton United Football Club on a volunteer basis, within the Media & Communications team.

We are seeking to recruit a Programme Contributor to help with the production of the club’s official matchday programme, providing content that informs, entertains, and connects supporters to the team and the wider football community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write engaging content for the club’s matchday programme
  • Work with the Head of Media to meet submission deadlines ahead of each home fixture
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and a tone that reflects the club’s values

Essentials:

  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines reliably
  • Organised and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and passion for football
  • Creative flair to make articles engaging for readers of all ages
  • Previous experience writing for publications, blogs, or media outlets
  • Basic understanding of layout/design for digital formats
