Liam Moore has joined Cray Valley Paper Mills on loan.
The midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Ashford Town (Middlesex), joins the Isthmian League Premier Division side after a brief trial period, and will be keen to aid a Millers side looking to bounce back from falling short of promotion last term, with the Millers being eliminated from the play-offs after a 4-3 loss to Dartford, which followed a fourth place finish in the league.
Moore has risen through the U’s academy at a remarkable rate, and notably became the U’s youngest ever captain when he took the armband in a 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion in the National League Cup.
He otherwise spent much of the academy on loan in the Isthmian League South Central Division with Ashford, playing 26 times as the Tangerines were relegated to the Combined Counties League Premier Division North.
