Sutton United Football Club is delighted to announce invitation-only trials for our 2026/27 paid U19 Apprenticeship Scheme, offering a clear and proven pathway into senior football.
The programme is open to current Under-18 and Year 13 boys, providing a unique opportunity to combine elite football development with education and professional experience within a National League club environment.
The apprenticeship has a strong track record of progression, with this season alone a prime example:
- 72% of U19 players have trained with the first team
- 50% have been involved in first-team matchday squads
These figures highlight the club’s commitment to youth development and its willingness to reward talent and hard work with genuine first-team opportunities.
Players accepted onto the scheme will compete within the National League Alliance, ensuring a high standard of competitive football aligned with the demands of the senior game.
Alongside their football development, apprentices will also work towards a Level 4 Qualification in Coaching, equipping them with valuable skills and qualifications both on and off the pitch.
Trial Dates
Invitation-only trials will take place on:
- Thursday, 19th February
- Thursday, 2nd April
Locations will be confirmed directly with successful applicants.
Players who believe they have the ability, attitude, and ambition to progress within a professional environment are encouraged to register their interest. Selected applicants will then be invited to attend one of the trial dates.
