When Sutton United walk out at the VBS Community Stadium for our first home league game of the 25/26 season against Solihull Moors, the atmosphere will have a fresh new sound.
Over the summer, we’ve made significant behind-the-scenes upgrades to our match-day audio system — including improved speaker locations, new amplifiers, upgraded heatsinks to keep equipment cool, and renewed wiring. These changes mean our system is now working within its designed parameters again, reducing distortion, cutting out feedback, and delivering a much clearer sound around the ground.
And with better sound comes a big opportunity: a brand new walkout song, chosen by our supporters. We want something that becomes instantly synonymous with Sutton United — a song that gets the crowd going and the players fired up.
The first team squad, staff, directors, and a group of volunteers have put together the shortlist:
- Living For The Weekend – Hi-Fi
- Rocking All Over The World – Status Quo
- Baba O’Riley – The Who
- Zombie – The Cranberries
- Kashmir – Led Zeppelin
Voting is open now and closes on Friday, 15th August at 8pm, with the winning song revealed — and heard in its full, improved clarity — as the players step out on Saturday.
Help shape a new Sutton United tradition.
