Sutton United Football Club announces that Phil Letts has stepped down from the Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Phil and his family have a proud and longstanding association with the club, beginning with his grandfather, Andrew Letts. A true club stalwart, Andrew was inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of his exceptional contribution to Sutton United’s development.

Starting as a young supporter, he rose through the ranks of the Supporters’ Club to join the club committee and ultimately became the first Chairman of the Board of Directors—a role he held with distinction for six decades.

Phil joined the Board in 2013 during our time in the National League South, bringing a particular focus on the development of the club’s Academy and safeguarding practices. His enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment have played a key role during a transformative period in the club’s history, including our promotion to the Football League.

We extend our sincere thanks to Phil for his service and contributions over the past twelve years. We look forward to welcoming him back to the VBS as a supporter and friend of the club.
