The Sutton United CP Celebral Palsy team is all set to play their first ever games this Saturday.
The tournament will take place at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground in Enfield, North London, and will see all the leading CP National League teams attending the competition.
Furthermore, Sutton United CP will have five CP internationals in the first ever squad.
Head of Celebral Palsy Football at Sutton United Foundation said
“We’re still building our CP squad so it’s early days for us with the clubs’ first
CP fixture, and a chance to start getting to know each other as players and coaches, while mixing it with established teams from the National CP League. Likely to be a bit of a learning curve but we’re looking forward to the challenge!”
We would like to say a special thank you to DCL Insurance, James Bailey Sales & Lettings and Smith & Byford for partnering with the Cerebral Palsy team.
Also, currently, our Sutton United Ganders are in Belfast and are playing in the two-day George Best Community Cup, which is hosting around 70 teams.
As a previous George Best Cup winners, the Ganders will be doing their best to bring the cup home, and we wish them all the best.
