Sutton United will host AFC Telford United in the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup, should they beat Farnham Town in tomorrow’s Fourth Qualifying Round replay.

The U’s rescued a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Memorial Ground on Saturday courtesy of Jayden Harris’ stoppage time strike, bringing Paul Johnson’s side to a replay at the VBS Community Stadium, which will take place on Tuesday, 14th October (7:45pm KO).

A win over the Town would see them enter the proper stage of the competition for a fifth successive season, having beaten Chertsey Town last season, while under Matt Gray they received a bye into the First Round due to the club’s League Two status. Sutton were last defeated in the Fourth Qualifying Round by Bromley back in 2020/21 – the U’s promotion–winning season.

Should Sutton reach the First Round, it will mark a first ever clash with Telford in cup football, having only ever played against Telford United six times in the Vauxhall Conference, including the U’s first ever GMVC game in August 1986.

Ties will take place on the weekend of Saturday, 1 November, and ticket information will be announced in due course – providing Sutton get beyond the Fourth Qualifying Round tomorrow.

Shown live by UK broadcast partner TNT Sports, the draw saw clubs from the EFL Leagues One and Two join the competition and pitted against the teams who have progressed through the qualifying rounds in recent months.

The draw was made by former West Ham striker Michail Antonio and Joel Ward, who was part of the Crystal Palace squad who won the Cup last season.

There will 40 ties in total, with the full schedule and broadcast picks to be confirmed in due course.

Winning clubs at this stage of the competition will receive £45,000 from the 2025-26 prize fund, with losing teams also picking up £15,000.
