The Isuzu FA Trophy Third Round draw will take place on Monday, 17th November, and will be broadcast live on talkSPORT2 radio.

The draw will be split into a north and south section involving a total of 64 clubs and 32 ties, with National League clubs now set to enter the competition alongside the further 40 teams who reached this stage after yesterday’s Second Round ties.

It will be made at approximately 3:15pm with hosts Sam Ellard and Rory Jennings, while former player Sam Parkin will be drawing the balls.

Third round ties are due to be played on the weekend of Saturday, 13th December and should Sutton progress, future round dates are Saturday, 10th January (fourth round), Saturday, 31st January (fifth round), Saturday, 28th February (sixth round), Saturday, 28th March (semi-final) and Sunday, 17th May (final).

Sutton’s last Third Round tie saw them overcome Ebbsfleet United on penalties after a thrilling finale saw Finley Barbrook and Siju Odelusi strike in the final 20 minutes to overturn two-goal deficit, before Nana Boateng dealt the crucial blow with the decisive spot-kick. This set Sutton on their way to the Quarter-Final, with Will Davies condemning Tamworth and Kidderminster Harriers to defeat in the next two rounds, before losing out to eventual finalists Spennymoor Town in the last eight; the Moors going on to lose at Wembley to an Aldershot Town side skippered by current Sutton captain Aaron Jones.

The U’s best ever run in the competition saw them reach the final all the way back in 1980/81, with Barrie Williams leading Sutton to the home of English football for the third time in their history, going on to lose to Bishop’s Stortford due to a last minute Terry Sullivan strike.
