Osman Foyo says he feels at home after sealing his return to Sutton United – and is determined to make an immediate impact.

The forward linked back up with Chris Agutter’s side this week after a spell away, and admitted the move has been a long time coming following a premature end to his first stint with the U’s.

“It feels good, you know. Feels like home,” he said.

“I’m still keeping in contact with a few of the boys and stuff, always checking in with the gaffer and that, so it’s always good to be back.”

After his first training session back with the group, Foyo was quick to highlight the positive atmosphere around the place, with the forward having kept in constant contact with the manager during his time away.

“It was good. We had a good training session leading up to the game tomorrow.”

“In the time since I left I’ve just been training, just working hard. Me and the Gaffer have spoken pretty much every day since I went to Wimbledon, so it was only right we made it happen for me to come back.”

“He just said, you know, just be yourself. Play your game, be powerful, strong, get goals.”

The Dutchman admitted the manager’s belief was key in bringing him back to the VBS Community Stadium, having rediscovered his enjoyment during his brief stint under Agutter, prior to his departure.

“We spoke every day. I’m on board with his plan for the team and stuff, so I just want to help him and contribute to the team.”

“I liked it. I was pretty much enjoying my football again. Unfortunately I had to go back, but now I’m excited to get going. I’m buzzing to be back and to help contribute to the team.”

“I just want to get us as high as possible in the table and, for my personal achievement, just get goals and wins for the team.”
