Take a look at the contenders below…

Goal A

Aaron Jones vs AFC Croydon Athletic – 2nd December

Aaron Jones opened the scoring with his first Sutton goal, putting the U’s on their way to a 2-1 win over AFC Croydon Athletic.

A Jayden Harris free kick was headed back by Will Tizzard, and Aaron Jones showed some neat control before volleying in to the top corner just ten minutes into the game.

Goal B

Eden Clark vs Ashford Town (Middlesex) – 7th December

Eden Clark notched a superb opening goal as Sutton United Women smashed Ashford Town (Middlesex) 4-0.

Brianna Gilbert-Lawal found herself with space on the left, using some neat footwork to create a crossing opportunity, which she delivered to Milly Cutler along the floor, who took a touch, holding the ball up before laying it off to Clark on the edge of the area, who put her laces through it, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance of saving it.

Goal C

Milly Cutler vs Ashford Town (Middlesex) – 7th December

Milly Cutler added Sutton’s second of the game against Ashford Town (Middlesex) in spectacular fashion.

Sutton were impressively on top throughout the first half, suffocating the opposition at every opportunity, and just before half time, they deservedly doubled their lead – Milly Cutler outrageously lobbing the goalkeeper from her 30-yard free kick.

Goal D

Kai Jennings vs Shrewsbury Town – 6th December

While it proved to only be a consolation, Kai Jennings will have won all the plaudits in Sutton’s 2-1 defeat to Shrewsbury Town with an outstanding opening goal.

It no more than the U’s deserved when they went ahead with 20 minutes left; Jennings’ corner drifting in over Will Brook and landing in the corner of the net.
