Goal A

Lewis Simper vs Boreham Wood – 3rd September

Lewis Simper added to his array of superb strikes with an outstanding free kick under the Gander Green Lane lights.

Just minutes after Jayden Harris had cancelled out Jeff King’s early opener, Simper arrowed an inch-perfect drive around the Boreham Wood wall and beyond Nathan Ashmore to give his side a first half lead.

Goal B

Edon Pruti vs Boreham Wood – 3rd September

While it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal, Edon Pruti struck arguably the goal of the night with seconds remaining.

A dramatic end to the clash with Boreham Wood saw three goals scored in the final five minutes plus added time, the last of which saw Pruti send a powerful low drive from about 35-yards out past Nathan Ashmore to once again reduce the deficit to one goal.

Goal C

Ashley Nadesan vs Altrincham – 6th September

Ashley Nadesan notched his first league goal of the season at the J. Davidson Stadium, giving Sutton the lead after just 22 minutes.

Sutton opened the scoring with one of their first real chances of the game, as a deep ball from Lewis Simper was cleared as far as the returning Liam Vincent, who combined nicely with Jayden Harris who reached the byline before cutting the ball back, where Ashley Nadesan cutely flicked the ball home his first league goal of the campaign.

Goal D

Ella Meehan vs Barking Women – 14th September

Ella Meehan secured all three points for Sutton Women’s team in spectacular and dramatic fashion.

Having seen their lead cancelled out late on against Barking, Meehan sent a free kick from near the halfway line that soared through the air and nestled in the back of the net to restore the U’s advantage with seconds to go.

Goal E

Charlie Bell vs Woking – 23rd September

Charlie Bell notched his first goal for Sutton on his senior league debut for the club, scoring a crucial equaliser to secure a point against Woking.

The young academy midfielder got on the end of an Ashley Nadesan cross after the former Gillingham man had brilliantly latched onto a deep Lewis Simper through ball, before sending his delivery onto the right foot of Bell, who acrobatically drilled the ball into the bottom corner to get his side back on level terms with a little under half-an-hour to go.

Goal F

David Ogbonna vs Boston United – 27th September

David Ogbonna sealed a dramatic point against Boston United at the death.

The Sutton winger picked up the ball in space on the right hand side and evaded the Boston defender before clipping a cross into the box that flew beyond everyone and all the way into the far top corner, levelling things up with seconds to go.

Goal G

Charlie Bell vs Yeovil Town – 30th September

Another cracking strike from Charlie Bell saw him end the month with two goals in the space of a week; his second no doubt an even better hit on his maiden Sutton goal.

A lovely team move saw Brandon Njoku get the ball under control before spreading it out to Dillon De Silva who’s cross towards the back post was picked up by Aaron Jones, who kept the chance alive by sending the ball back into the middle. Ashley Nadesan tried a first-time volley which was blocked into the path of Bell, who arrowed a thunderous effort off the underside of the crossbar and into the top corner to level things up against the Glovers.
