Dillon De Silva has received a Sri Lanka recall, being selected for their upcoming Asian Cup Qualifier against Thailand.
The winger, who has spent the last few weeks on loan at Tamworth, will be looking to produce a key contribution as the Golden Army aim to secure their place at the 2027 Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Abdullah Al Mutairi’s side take on Changsuek on Tuesday, 18th November (12pm KO GMT), and currently sit third in Group D with a three point gap to their penultimate opponents, who lead the group alongside Turkmenistan on nine points.
De Silva’s Sri Lanka will need to seal a crucial win in order to keep their qualification hopes alive, with their final qualifer set to take place in March 2026 against Chinese Taipei.
The 23-year old enjoyed a successful international break in October, helping them to a 1-0 win over Turkmenistan before scoring in the return fixture, and could add a 24th international cap to his name.
