Two senior Sutton players have been called up by their countries for the upcoming March international break.

Jermaine Francis will represent Grenada for the first time since making the move to South London from Hartlepool United, with an international friendly against Rwanda (Friday, 27th March; 7pm KO), as part of the FIFA Series.

Francis and the Spice Boys have already been eliminated from FIFA World Cup Qualification after finishing third of Group B in the Second Round of CONCACAF qualifiers, but will return to action with a trip to Stade Amahoro to take on a Rwanda side who have also missed out on this summer’s tournament, having finished fifth in Group C of the CAF qualifiers.

The FIFA Series is an invitational tournament that promotes cross-confederation competition, featuring friendly matches between national teams from different continental confederations.

Dillon De Silva, currently on loan at Maidenhead United, returns to the international stage with Sri Lanka at the end of the month, though the Golden Lions cannot qualify for the Asian Cup, sitting six points behind group leaders Turkmenistan with one game remaining.

Abdullah Al Mutairi’s side will close out their campaign with an away match at Chinese Taipei (Tuesday, 31st March; 11am KO), who finished bottom of the group with 0 points.
