Hayden Muller’s loan move at Salisbury has been extended until the new year, with the defender set to remain in Wiltshire for a little over four months.

Since joining Salisbury on loan in August, Muller has played a role in strengthening the defensive line, and his extended stay means Salisbury have kept some consistency at the back as the season picks up pace.

Muller featured in each of the Whites’ games during September, with the National League South side falling to two defeats and a draw, while they also saw their FA Cup exploits end at the Third Qualifying Round.

After kicking off the month against a Worthing side that features former teammate Harry Ransom, Muller continued to maintain his place at the heart of the backline with impressive displays against the Rebels, Tonbridge Angels and Eastbourne Borough, as well as contributing to a 4-1 win over Laverstock & Ford in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, before forcing a replay against Dorking Wanderers in the following stage, which ended in a 4-1 defeat.

Despite his efforts though, Salisbury currently sit second bottom in the National League South after a winless opening nine games.

At the other end of the sixth tier, and Henry Sandat has continued to gain minutes for the side that currently top the division in Hornchurch.

The Urchins have continued their unbeaten start to the league campaign with two wins and two draws in September, though they did fall to defeat against Peterborough Sports in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.

The Sutton striker played 45 minutes in the clash at Lincoln Road, notably firing an effort over the crossbar, but otherwise contributed to wins over Dorking and Slough Town.

Looking down non-league, and George Vorster has continued his positive start to life at Burgess Hill Town.

The forward got on the scoresheet once during September, netting his fifth goal of the season with the opening goal in a 4-2 defeat to Carshalton Athletic, and was denied an assist against Dartford after nodding a Hamish Morrison cross down to Ben Pope who kneed the ball over the line, but saw his celebrations cut short due to the offside flag.

Vorster otherwise played frequently as the Hillians fell to two draws and two defeats, including seeing their FA Cup run end in the Second Qualifying Round at the hands of Farnham Town, who are now set to host Sutton in the Fourth Qualifying Round.

Finally, Liam Moore was unable to feature for Cray Valley Paper Mills last month due to an injury sustained in August, with the U’s midfielder continued to recover.

The Millers secured three wins, one draw and three defeats in his absence, including kicking off their Kent Senior Cup and FA Cup campaigns with victory over Ashford United in the First Round of the latter, though they fell to a 5-0 loss against Tonbridge Angels in the Third Qualifying Round having initially held the National League South side to a goalless draw, and thus forced a replay at the Longmead Stadium.

Steve McKimm’s side currently sit 16th in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
