Getting to the Ground

Stadium Address:

Parkway

Guildford

Surrey

GU1 1UP

By Car

Signposted from A3, follow signs to Leisure Centre. When entering the Leisure Centre the football ground is at the end of the drive, with a large amount of free parking. Entrance to the ground is via the Turnstile entrance.

From the A3 (North) – Exit at the Leisure Centre, turn left at the traffic lights after the exit, then immediately left into the Parkway, past the Premier Inn hotel. The Leisure Centre (Spectrum) is on the brow of a hill on the left at the next traffic lights.

From the A3 (South) – Exit at A25/A322 junction. Take the second exit at the roundabout (A25) and follow the dual carriageway through three sets of traffic lights, past the Premier Inn hotel. The Leisure Centre (Spectrum) is on the brow of a hill on the left at the next traffic lights.

By Public Transport

The nearest train station to the Guildford Spectrum is Guildford Station, which can be reached from Wimbledon via Woking, or directly from London Waterloo.

Take a South Western Railway train, with the journey typically takes about 35–50 minutes, depending on whether you take a direct or stopping service. From Guildford Station, the Spectrum Leisure Centre is around 1.5 miles (2.5 km) away, which is roughly a 30-minute walk or a five to ten-minute taxi or bus ride.

A few different bus routes run from Friary Bus Station, a short walk from Guildford Station, and operate roughly every 15 minutes. This stop is served by routes 6, 34, and 172 and is just a short walk to the entrance of the leisure centre, alighting at the Spectrum Leisure Centre stop on Parkway.

Accessibility

This match will not be segregated.

The main spectator area includes a seated stand with over 100 seats, providing a raised and covered view of the pitch. However, it’s important to note that the ground is surrounded by a 13-lane athletics track, which may limit proximity to the pitch.

Recent upgrades at the Spectrum include the addition of a disabled toilet facility and improved access via ramps and widened doorways. Additionally, the Spectrum Leisure Complex itself offers accessible amenities, including level access and facilities for disabled visitors.

Last Time We Met

Taking a flashback to 2010, Guildford showed a lot of spirit but were ultimately outclassed in an encounter with high flying Ryman Premier League side Sutton.

The hosts had the better of the first 15 minutes – with James Brown being denied by two outstanding saves from Kevin Scriven – but succumbed from a simple long ball when Jerson Dos Santos turned Simon Cooper to fire home from inside the area.

Any hopes Guildford had of staging a comeback were swiftly extinguished a few minutes later when Dos Santos went down in the box and Sam Gargan converted from the penalty spot to seal a 2-0 win in the Surrey Senior Cup.
