Getting to the Ground
Stadium Address:
Kettlebrook
Tamworth
Staffordshire
B77 1AA
By Car
Start by heading north from Sutton and join the A217 or A24 toward the M25. Once on the M25 London Orbital, travel clockwise (westbound) and then take the M40 northbound toward Oxford/Birmingham. Continue on the M40 past High Wycombe and Oxford, then follow signs for the M42 near Solihull, joining it northbound.
From the M42, take the A5 carriageway bypass, which runs from Junction 10 to the east of the town and from the A38/M6 Toll roundabout to the west. Take the exit signposted A51 Tamworth toward the Ventura Park shopping centre. At the first roundabout, take the third exit, with McDonald’s on your left, heading towards Tamworth Castle.
By Rail
Tamworth sits on two main railway lines which cross at Tamworth railway station: London Euston to the north west and Scotland and Penzance to Newcastle, passing through Birmingham New Street.
There are a number of ways to get to Euston, either via London Bridge, which is reachable on a Southern service, or via King’s Cross St. Pancras, which is reachable on the Thameslink, before changing to the Northern line for either. Alternatively, Southern services to London Victoria can reach Euston via a change to the Victoria line.
From Euston, there are Avanti West Coast services which terminate at Tamworth, either with no stops in between or stops at Milton Keynes Central, Rugby, Nuneaton and Atherstone. Other non-direct services to Tamworth require one change at Birmingham New Street.
Once you have arrived in Tamworth, leave the station and walk along the approach road to the roundabout, then cross the road and continue with Jewson’s on your right as you follow Offa Drive. Walk past Aldi to the next roundabout and turn left, keeping Lidl and the Travelodge on your left. Cross the busy dual carriageway using the pedestrian crossing and continue straight ahead, with the Odeon and town centre off to your right.
From the town centre, head past the Odeon cinema, where you will be able to see the floodlights ahead of you. Follow the footpath over the river and down to the first underpass, turning left to go underneath the road. On exiting, immediately turn right and pass under the road again through the next underpass. When you emerge, you will see a road crossing, the last of the railway arches ahead, and Kettlebrook Road to your right.
Stay on the path, keeping right and following Kettlebrook Road away from the roundabout, and the entrance to The Lamb will be on your right.

Last Time We Met
Sutton suffered a third consecutive Enterprise National League defeat as they recovered from conceding twice in the first twenty minutes to level things up before half time thanks to two Lewis Simper goals, only for Tamworth to retake the lead within a minute.
Tamworth went in front in the 12th minute courtesy of a Sutton error as Harry Phipps failed to get enough on a header back to Jack Sims, giving Tyler Roberts the chance to reach the ball first before being brought down by U’s keeper, who was booked and then went the wrong way for Joe Riley’s penalty.
Sutton might have levelled when Jayden Harris’s low curling effort was heading just inside the post before Jas Singh pushed it wide, but instead were two down when, having comfortably dealt with two long throws from Tom Tonks, they allowed Roberts to get his head to the next one and send the ball bouncing past Sims in to the net.
Tamworth were rocked by an injury to Haydn Hollis, who picked up a knock after just five minutes but got through nearly to the half hour mark before again needing treatment and eventually being replaced, but while he was off the pitch and Tamworth were down to ten men Simper pulled a goal back when he played a short corner to Harris, received the return and sent a low cross-cum-shot which evaded everyone and ended up in the far corner of the net.
Sims made a superb save to tip from over a Roberts shot after U’s had failed to clear a cross from the left, and his efforts were rewarded as U’s levelled eight minutes before the break. Edon Pruti, back in the side after injury caused a late withdrawal at Altrincham, sent a long ball forward and Simper’s pressure forced an error from Alfie Bates that allowed him to shoot low past the stranded Singh. U’s supporters had barely finished celebrating, though, when Roberts escaped on the right and pulled a pass back for Manny Duku, who restored the visitors’ lead with what proved to be the winner before the half was even out.

Played for Both
Dillon De Silva
Having begun his career in the academies of Tottenham Hotspur, Barking and Queens Park Rangers, the Sri Lanka international moved to Torquay United initially on loan, and struck five goals for the Gulls in both the National League and National League South, later establishing himself in the fifth tier with a further two strikes for Wealdstone.
A switch to Sutton followed in 2024, becoming Steve Morison’s first signing ahead of the U’s return to the National League, and opened his account in the National League Cup against Nottingham Forest. He followed this up with his first league goal with the winner against Maidenhead United, and in total has appeared over 50 times in all competitions before joining Tamworth at the end of October.
He scored on his debut with a late consolation goal in a 3-1 defeat to Boston United, having come off the bench just a few minutes before, and made it two appearances in total with a cameo against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup, before joining Dagenham & Redbridge on loan until the end of the season.
