The Club recommend that all children bring a photo on their phone of their passport or a photocopy to aid a smoother entry and assist the Club with managing safeguarding.
Should Club staff deem that children are under 14 and have no proof of age, they will ask the child to call a parent/carer for clarity.
- If the parent/carer confirms the child is old enough, entry will be given.
- Should the parent/carer not clarify that the child is old enough to enter alone, the parent will be asked to collect the child or confirm they are happy for them to leave alone.
- If children refuse to contact a parent/carer, entry will be refused, and the club will endeavour to gather information from the child to follow up with the parent. If Police are present at the grounds, they may be asked to assist with this process.
For children under 14 entering the grounds with an appropriate adult, entry requires that the responsible adult stays with the child whilst within the grounds. This includes sitting or standing in the same area of the grounds and escorting to and from welfare facilities.
Children under 14 are the responsibility of the adult whilst within the grounds at all times.

Stat Attack
3 – Lewis Simper’s goal at the Laithwaite Community Stadium last term was the first goal scored in this fixture in three years, with Sutton’s promotion to League Two in 2020/21 meaning a 3-2 win in May 2021 had been the last competitive meeting until then.

Last Time We Met
Jack Wadham’s second half header was enough to secure a point on the final day of the season, sealing a 1-1 draw against Woking.
Lewis Walker gave Woking an early lead when the Cards broke quickly and forced Jack Sims to deny Josh Osude’s initial effort, but the ball fell into the path of Walker who tapped the ball over the line from a few yards out to send Woking into the interval ahead.
Sutton United enjoyed a dominant spell at the start of the second half though, and drew level when Lewis Simper’s corner was cleared as far as Ashley Nadesan, who kept the chance alive and swung the ball back into the danger zone where Harry Ransom headed goalward, with Wadham popping up at the far post to nod the U’s back into the game, and was enough to secure a point against the Cards.
Played for Both
Harry Beautyman
A whole host of players have appeared for both sides, including four current Cards (Chin Okoli, Aiden O’Brien, Olly Sanderson and Harry Beautyman) and three current U’s (Lewis Simper, Jayden Harris and Nana Boateng), along with countless players who no longer have an affiliation with the two clubs, such as Charley Kendall, Lee Angol, Rhys Browne, Ricky Korboa, Deon Moore, Josh Neufville, Matt Tubbs, Ben Wynter, Ross Lafayette and Lennie Dennis. However, the most notable of them all for U’s supporters is of course current Woking skipper, Beautyman.
A product of the Leyton Orient academy, Beautyman gained experience on loan at St Albans City and Hastings United at the start of his career, before linking up with the U’s for the first time in 2011. The midfielder went on to enjoy a two-year stint in South London, scoring 24 goals in 105 games as well as winning the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year award in his first season, topping off his fine form in amber with a call-up to the England C squad.
Beautyman subsequently joined Welling United in 2013, before moving on loan to Peterborough United a year later, and soon saw the deal made permanent after impressing for the Posh in his maiden campaign in the Football League. He remained at London Road for a further season before embarking on stints at Northampton Town and Stevenage, which preceded a highly anticipated return to Gander Green Lane in 2018.
His second spell saw him cement himself as a U’s legend, going on to appear over 200 times across the next seven years, with his most notable individual campaign coming in 2019/20, where he notched 17 goals from midfield which saw him voted Club Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Club Player of the Year, as well as earning him inclusion in the National League Team of the Season. He subsequently played a key role in Sutton’s promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history with a title-winning campaign the following season, and went on to rack up almost 100 League Two appearances for the club, prior to his departure in 2024.
A move across Surrey saw Beautyman make the switch to Woking where he has become a key part of the team under both Michael Doyle and Neal Ardley, and was appointed as club captain at the Laithwaite Community Stadium after an impressive debut season last term, scoring ten goals for the Cards, to make up a familiar leadership group which also includes Okoli, who serves as Woking’s vice-captain.
