After a week of friendlies away from home, Sutton take to the Knights Community Stadium pitch for the first time on Tuesday, facing a Dulwich Hamlet side with whom U’s have had a long tradition of rivalry, although the teams have not met competitively since U’s won an FA Cup tie 5-1 in the 2011-12 season en route to a second round game against Notts County.

Dulwich are setting out on their second season at National League South level, having won promotion from the Isthmian League in 2018, and last season, although close to the relegation zone at some stages of the season, ultimately finished a comfortable 14th. They began their pre-season campaign with a home defeat to Colchester before heading north for games at Chester and Marine, both of which they won, before returning for home draws against Bromley and a Tottenham XI. Their squad on Tuesday could include Jeffrey Monakana, who had a spell with Sutton in 2017.
