Sutton take a break from Vanarama National League action on Tuesday with the short trip to Fetcham Grove to take on Leatherhead in the Surrey Senior Cup, with a home quarter final against South Park awaiting the winners.

Leatherhead and Sutton have had many meetings over the years, most notably in the 1970s and 1980s, but this is the first time paths have crossed since the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup in 2011, when Fola Orilonishe (above) scored in extra time to give U’s a 3-2 replay win after a 3-3 draw at Sutton, U’s eventually going on to face Notts County in the second round.

Leatherhead currently lie just above mid-table in the Isthmian League Premier Division, seven points outside the play-off zone, and their squad tomorrow is likely to include Crossley Lema, who began this season at Sutton before joining Leatherhead, initially on loan. In the first round they beat Raynes Park Vale.

Sutton beat Horley Town in the first round and as on that occasion the line-up tomorrow is likely to be a mixture of the first team players who didn’t feature against Solihull on Saturday, and academy players. The game will be decided on the night, with penalties after 90 minutes if the scores are level.

Admission for the game is £12 for adults, £8 for concessions (over 65, and full time students) and £5 for under 16s. For those that haven’t been to the ground before, it is alongside Leatherhead Leisure Centre, about ten minutes’ walk from Leatherhead station which is served by frequent trains from Sutton.
