To mark this year’s World Suicide Prevention Day (Wednesday, 10th September), the SUFC Foundation, along with our charity partners The Speakeasy Club and The Proper Blokes Club, are hosting a 5km walk ahead of our home game against Tamworth (Saturday, 13th September), aiming to raise awareness around mental health and encourage open conversations through sport.

Fans attending the match can connect with charity partners in the fan zone, where resources and support will be available. A key highlight of the day is a free 5km walk, starting at 12:30pm, encouraging physical activity as a way to support mental well-being.

Incentives are also on offer, with the first 50 people to register receiving a free match ticket for the clash with the Lambs, which kicks off at 3pm.

As mentioned, the event is run in collaboration with The Speakeasy Club, which advocates for well-being through sport, and The Proper Blokes Club, a men’s mental health walking group. Together, they aim to build stronger connections in the community and remind everyone that mental health truly matters.
