Steve Morison said he is fully focused on Wednesday’s clash with Forest Green Rovers, and will be touched on what is set to be a tough test against a new-look Rovers side.

The Head Coach previewed the match at the New Lawn after Tuesday’s training session, and later spoke on the work put in by his squad, especially with an extremely hectic on the horizon with another two games following this one across the span of three days.

“Yeah they’ve been fine” he said”. “Normal Monday, recover, some boys train harder than others. Tuesday today, yeah just just working on what we’re going to do tomorrow night, so yeah it’s been a positive positive training session. There’s bags of excitement in the group and we’re enjoying what we’re doing and yeah we’re looking forward to another tough test on Wednesday night.”

“It’s must be the longest time we’re going to get to train over the next five or six days so yeah, it’s a tough little period, it’s probably Wednesday, Saturday, Monday. We’ve got a squad, we’ll use everyone and yeah we’re just looking for good performances and maybe results will come along with it.”

With the U’s set to take on a Forest Green side who are now under the leadership of Robbie Savage, it is set to be a different test, as Morison put it, against a club who have entered a new era, and will look much different to the side which Morison has previously faced three times with Sutton in both League Two and the National League.

“We’re trying to be fully focused on Wednesday and it’ll be a different test, it’s another good game against another tough team. There isn’t a non-tough team in this league. Every game is different, every game throws up new challenges. The focus is on us and what we’re going to do and one thing we can guarantee that it’s going to be nice and hopefully we can have a good evening.”

“You give full respect to every single team you play whether it’s Forest Green, Solihull or Scunthorpe on Saturday or Rochdale on Monday, it’s all exactly the same, all gets the same focus and yeah just a game that we’re going to look forward to and as a group go there and put on a good performance.”
