With Sutton’s pre-season preparations well underway, and ahead of the U’s second friendly of the campaign against AFC Wimbledon tomorrow (Saturday, 19th July), we can confirm the squad numbers for 2025/26.
Alex Kirk has opted to switch to the vacant number four shirt, replacing last season’s captain Tyler French who departed the club for Solihull Moors earlier this summer, having worn the number 35 following his arrival from Arsenal last October.
Similarly, with numbers largely taken during the mid-point of the 2024/25 season, Henry Sandat has chosen to replace his number 38 shirt, and will wear the number nine next term, with big boots to fill in last season’s top scorer Will Davies, who joined League Two side Fleetwood Town for one of the highest transfer fees ever received by the club.
Meanwhile, Ashley Nadesan reunites with the number ten shirt he previously wore at Crawley Town and Gillingham, and will be looking to create more memories like he did with the number 24 after making his loan move from the Gills permanent.
In addition, the ten other summer recruits have been awarded the following shirt numbers: Liam Vincent (3), Harry Phipps (5), Jaiden White (7), Edon Pruti (14), Will Tizzard (15), Aaron Jones (17), David Ogbonna (18), Kane Crichlow (19), Mo Dabre (22).
Please note that these numbers may or may not be worn by their respective player during pre-season.
