Sutton United Football Club can confirm that tomorrow’s trip to Hartlepool United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

After the constant downpour in the North-East over the last few days, the government have issued flood alerts which cover areas in County Durham, Northumberland and Sunderland as the wet weather continues to hit the region.

In addition, a yellow weather warning of snow and ice was issued by the Met Office for vast swathes of the North East, with outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow likely to lead to icy surfaces.

As a result, following a pitch inspection which took place this morning, the playing surface at the Prestige Group Stadium has been deemed unplayable.

A new date will be announced in due course and match tickets will remain valid for the rearranged fixture.
