Scunthorpe United have confirmed a precautionary pitch inspection will take place at the Attis Arena on Friday afternoon following plummeting temperatures overnight on Thursday, with more expected on Friday.
The playing surface was covered on Thursday night, with the covers removed on Friday morning in order to prepare the pitch for Saturdays game.
With Sutton set to travel on Friday afternoon, we have taken the decision to call a pitch inspection at a similar time to one being required on Saturday, with the pitch set to be in a similar condition 24 hours on.
A suitably qualified match official will inspect the Attis Arena playing surface, with communication to the appointed match referee George Laflin. As soon as we have an outcome of the inspection, we will publish on our website and social media channels.
