Sutton United Football Club is pleased to confirm that Vulcan Building Services (VBS) has signed a short-term agreement to remain the club’s stadium partner until the end of the season. As part of the arrangement, Gander Green Lane will continue to be known as the VBS Community Stadium for the duration of the partnership.
VBS, a Sutton-based specialist in ‘cutting edge’ Electrical, Mechanical & Public Health installations across the industrial, commercial and high end residential sectors of the construction industry, has been a strong supporter of the club and the local community. The continued partnership will help Sutton United maintain key community initiatives and support matchday improvements as the season progresses.
Jack Daly, Director of Business Operations at Sutton United, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to have VBS remain with us as stadium partners for the rest of the season.”
“Their ongoing support – both commercially and within our local community – makes a real difference to the club. It allows us to focus on the squad and the fan experience, knowing we have trusted partners working alongside us. We’re grateful to Julian and the whole VBS team for their commitment.”
Julian Crane, Managing Director at VBS, added:
“I have lived locally my whole life and starting supporting Sutton United as a youngster, being at the ground for the FA Cup match against the revered Leeds United team in 1970 as well as our famous win against Coventry City in the same competition in 1989 and also the matches against Leeds United (again) and Arsenal in 2017.”
“It has been really wonderful for my businesses to be able support my local team and also the wider community since 2018 and made to feel a real part of the more recent successes that the club have enjoyed.”
“To be able to extend our close relationship with the club until the end of the 2025/26 season is particularly satisfying and we very much look forward to the rest of the season under new manager, Chris Agutter, whose reputation for developing young talent and playing an exciting brand of possession based attacking football is highly regarded.”
