Sutton United Football Club can confirm that Mo Dabre’s loan at Salisbury has been extended until the end of the season.

The Italian midfielder, who originally joined Sutton from Tonbridge Angels in the summer, had played ten times for the U’s prior to his move to the Whites on a one-month temporary deal towards the start of December, and he will now remain in Wiltshire for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.

Brian Dutton’s side currently sit 18th in the National League South, though Dabre has so far got off to a tremendous start to life at The Raymond McEnhill Stadium since debuting in their 1-0 defeat to Farnborough, having signed on the eve of that clash, and has gone on to appear four times for the club.

After playing 77 minutes on his maiden appearance for the club, he followed this up with a 12-minute cameo in their 2-0 defeat to Bath City the following week before receiving a host of plaudits for his work rate and energy into the centre of the park on Boxing Day, adding a second start to his Salisbury tally as he played a crucial role in the Whites’ 3-1 win over AFC Totton, notably notching an assist for the opener.

After Josh Sommerton was able to drive with the ball into the middle of the field, he chipped a pass over the top of the Totton defence and into the path of Dabre who kept the ball under his spell excellently, squaring the ball to Josh Hedges who tapped the ball home to draw first blood in the local derby. This proved to be the cherry on top of a Man of the Match-worthy display from the midfielder, winning plaudits from manager Brian Dutton who described him as the epitome of what they were looking for – hard work, effort and quality.

He then closed out the year with another start, playing 86 minutes as the Whites lost 1-0 to Weston-super-Mare, and will begin his extended loan spell with the visit of highflying Worthing tomorrow.

Good luck, Mo!
