Sutton United Football Club can confirm the temporary departure of Dillon De Silva, who joins fellow National League side Tamworth on a one-month loan deal.
The Sri Lanka international joins a Lambs side who sit eighth in the Enterprise National League table after losing just one of their last 13 games in all competitions, and will offer additional depth to Andy Peaks frontline alongside the likes of Beck-Ray Enoru, Tyler Roberts, Harvey Sayer and Tom McGlinchey.
De Silva, who began his career in the academies of Tottenham Hotspur, Barking and Queens Park Rangers, became the first summer signing under Steve Morison following a brief stint at Wealdstone, where he spent two months after a stint at Torquay United.
Since arriving at Gander Green Lane, the exciting forward enjoyed a productive pre-season before a setback saw him pick up an injury on the opening day of the season against Tamworth, before recovering to make 21 National League appearances last term.
He scored his first goal in the National League Cup against Nottingham Forest, and followed it up with the winner away at Maidenhead United, embarking on a positive spell of form at the end of last season that came to abrupt end due to another injury.
He has since made just nine appearances this season including a single start against Brackley Town, and in total has turned out over 50 times in all competitions since arriving from Grosvenor Vale, before joining Tamworth ahead of their clash with Boston United.
Good luck, Dillon!
