Sutton United Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of Osman Foyo, who signs on loan from AFC Wimbledon until January.

The Netherlands-born forward will offer pace and physicality to Chris Agutter’s frontline, and will boast plenty of expertise despite his young age having developed by closely watching the likes of Eden Hazard and David Luiz while in the Chelsea academy.

Foyo, who began his career at Stamford Bridge, moved to England shortly before his fifth birthday and joined Chelsea at the age of 12 following a six-week trial, remaining with the Blues for three years before moving to Norwich City, where he secured a scholarship in July 2021.

A brief work experience loan to East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town allowed him to gain experience following a brief stint with the Canaries, and he soon made the move permanent, remaining with the Tractor Boys until the start of 2025.

Standing at 6″4, his time in Suffolk saw him participate in pre-season with the club’s first team as well as scoring five goals in nine games before embarking on loans within non-league, gaining experience of regular senior football at Torquay United, Welling United and Chelmsford City, the latter proving to be his most successful stint, scoring 12 times in 21 appearances.

His form with the Clarets saw him attract interest from EFL clubs, and he opted to depart Ipswich permanently in January 2025 in order to join AFC Wimbledon, making his debut as a substitute in a 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra which saw him mark a significant jump from the sixth tier to the fourth tier in the blink of an eye.

Foyo ended the campaign six appearances to his name for the Dons, and now embarks on a fourth loan spell of his career, making the switch across South London to join Sutton until the new year.

After putting to paper on his temporary deal, Foyo said;

“I’m excited to be here, I’m excited to get started tomorrow.

From the minute I heard about potentially coming here I thought good things and I have good faith in the gaffer and teammates here.”

He will wear the number 29 during his time with the U’s.

Welcome to Sutton, Osman!
