Sutton United Football Club can confirm the departure of Nana Boateng, who has joined Hemel Hempstead Town on a loan.
The forward makes the switch to Hertfordshire on a deal lasting until January, having been absent for the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign so far.
Hemel currently sit sixth in the National League South, just seven points away from league leaders Hornchurch with a game in hand on the Urchins, along with Weston-super-Mare, Worthing and Dorking Wanderers, as well as three games in hand over Horsham and two over Torquay United.
The Tudors, currently led by highly rated boss Lee Allinson, have bolstered their ranks after losing just two games since August, including key wins over fellow promotion hopefuls Weston-Super-Mare and Chelmsford City.
Boateng originally joined Sutton in the summer of 2024 following his departure from Millwall, where he had risen through the ranks.
Loan spells at Woking and Solihull Moors saw him gain National League experience prior to his permanent switch to Gander Green Lane, with the 23-year old going on to feature 27 times in the league. He also played a central role in the U’s run to the National League Cup Final, scoring in successive wins over West Bromwich Albion, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United, as well as notching decisive penalties in two triumphant shootouts, one over the Baggies, along with one against Ebbsfleet United in the Isuzu FA Trophy.
The former Millwall man last featured on the final day of the 2024/25 season, playing 11 minutes from the bench as the U’s ended the campaign with a 1-1 draw over their Surrey rivals.
Good luck, Nana!
