Sutton United Football Club can confirm the departure of Siju Odelusi, who joins Maidenhead United on loan until the end of the season.

The Magpies currently sit tenth in the National League South, just two points behind Weston-super-Mare in seventh, and will be looking to keep pace with the play-off spots in their search for an instant return to the fifth tier, having suffered relegation last term.

Odelusi joins teammate Dillon De Silva at York Road as he embarks on his second loan of the campaign, having spent the bulk of the first half of the season at Dover Athletic.

Joining on a three-month loan, the midfielder appeared 11 times for the Whites and scored once during what was a largely successful stint, before returning to Sutton with an injury in January.

He has subsequently progressed during his rehab and regained match fitness over the last couple months, making the switch to Berkshire now for the remainder of the campaign.

Prior to joining Sutton, Odelusi was a trainee at West Ham United before working his way up non-league, beginning his senior career at Tilbury where he appeared 31 times and going on to turn out for Witham Town, Leiston, Hayes & Yeading United, Northwood, Westfield and Haringey Borough, prior to his move to Aveley in 2022.

He was rewarded for his excellent form during the Millers’ promotion-winning campaign with a switch into the fifth tier, becoming Steve Morison’s second summer signing ahead of the 2024/25 season after notching over 20 goal contributions from midfield in his final year at Parkside.

He has since appeared 55 times for the U’s, scoring four goals, and agreed a new deal towards the end of his first season in amber.

Good luck, Siju!
