Sutton United Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Cassie Chase, who joins up with the Women’s team ahead of this Sunday’s trip to Burgess Hill Town in the FA Cup.
The midfielder becomes the 15th signing of the summer for Lucy Clark, and joins from Hertford Town, with whom she joined ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Chase became a key member of the squad at Hertingfordbury Park, becoming known for her close control and attacking brilliance, with the ability to change the game quickly, and was recognised by winning the November Player of the Month award, before being named as the winner of both last season’s Players’ Player and Manager’s Player of the Season awards.
Hailing from Hertfordshire, Chase was spotted playing for Garston Ladies’ Junior team, and notably contributed to the club scoring a remarkable 36 goals in just seven weekend games during a period in 2012, before joining the Watford Academy prior to her move to Hertford.
