Sutton United Football Club is delighted to confirm the signings of three new players for the Women’s Team, including two returning players this summer.

Louise Dunne and Ellie Moon both make the move back to Gander Green Lane having spent time at the club as Juniors, while Phoebe Langley joins from Woking.

After departing Sutton, Dunne went on to play for Fulham and AFC Wimbledon as well as captaining her team at the University of Leeds, where she established herself as a talented right-sided player, and now returns to the U’s at the age of 22.

Moon meanwhile went on to play for Haywards Heath and Whyteleafe, becoming a key part of the team at right back, and now makes the move back to South London at the age of 18.

As for Langley, the young midfielder signs from Woking, a club she joined when she turned 16 last December, having established herself as something of a prodigy during primary school.

Hailing from Horsell, Langley began her career when she trained with the boys team at Chobham due to her brother, and went on to join the club’s Under-7’s – a year ahead of her age group. She was later invited to train with the Woking District girls’ team when she was in Year 3, going on to play 77 times for the district, before joining Goldsworth Park Rangers and then Knaphill, prior to getting a place at Chelsea’s Foundation where she trained at the Premier League club’s base in Cobham.

Langley continued to develop at an impressive rate during her time with the Blues, and was invited to a trial with Reading’s regional talent club where she trained weekly until the COVID-19 lockdown, and upon the resumption of football at every level, won a place in the Royals’ Women’s Under 12’s-side.

She subsequently went on to captain of Surrey’s representative team, a position she has maintained for the last four seasons, and returned to Woking at the end of 2024.

Welcome to Sutton to all!
