Sutton United Football Club can confirm that Vinnie Tume has departed the club by mutual consent.
The young striker has opted to resign in order to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Tume first earned a place in the first team squad in March 2024 after impressive performances in the academy side, and made headlines when he made his Sutton debut at the age of 17 in the first Royal Marsden matchday, replacing Harry Smith late on in a 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley in League Two.
The striker followed this up with another place on the bench two weeks later against Stockport County, before being named as an unused substitute a handful of times last term in the National League.
The 2024/25 campaign subsequently saw two further league appearances in the fifth tier with cameos against Rochdale and Ebbsfleet United, but Tume otherwise found opportunities primarily come in the newly established National League Cup.
Three starts among five appearances saw him feature in all but the final two rounds of Sutton’s run to the final, as well as notching an assist in the 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the U’s maiden group game in the competition.
We would like to wish Vinnie all the best for the future.
