Brandon Njoku

Brandon Njoku made the switch to Gander Green Lane in July 2025, following his departure from League Two side Cambridge United.

After coming through the ranks at West Ham United, Njoku made the switch to Cambridge in 2021 and scored in multiple rounds of the club’s run to the FA Youth Cup Quarter-Final in 2022/23, with his performances earning him his first professional deal at the end of the season, before spending time out on loan at a host of clubs around non-league.

Stints at St. Neots Town, Cheshunt and Braintree Town preceded a move to St. Ives Town, where he notably notched 13 goals in 19 games, before being recalled by manager Neil Harris, who awarded Njoku his senior debut for the club on the same day, coming on as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient.

He subsequently ended the 2023/24 campaign with three Cambridge appearances to his name with cameos against Fleetwood Town and Peterborough United, as well as two months on loan at Peterborough Sports, before becoming a more regular figure within the U’s first team the following season.

Njoku scored his first Cambridge goal on his first appearance of 2024/25 against Blackpool, ending the season with eight starts from a total of 32 league appearances, before exiting the Abbey Stadium in the summer of 2025.
