Jayden Harris

Jayden Harris joined Sutton in June 2024 after leaving Carlisle United, where he had been a part of the squad that won promotion through the League Two play-offs in 2022/23.
Born in Croydon, Harris began his career with Fulham and made over 100 appearances at Under 23 level, having joined at the age of ten, and spent over ten years at Craven Cottage where he rose through the ranks.
A loan move at Woking in 2020 saw him gain first team experience during a brief spell, and he followed it up by extending his contract by an additional year, before departing the Whites at the end of the new deal to join Aldershot Town, with opportunities at Fulham proving to be limited.
Harris initially enjoyed life with the Shots, but found minutes become limited following a managerial change. As a result, he moved on loan to the National League South with Hampton & Richmond Borough in 2021, before exiting the EBB Stadium upon his return.
Despite struggling for consistent chances in non-league, Harris was picked up by Carlisle ahead of the 2022/23 season and made the long move up north looking to carve out a career in the EFL.
He scored his first goal for the club with the winner in a 2-1 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup and ended the season by winning promotion to League One via the play-offs, having played 24 times in all competitions throughout the campaign.
Manager Paul Simpson deemed Harris to not be in the plans ahead of their return to League One following a nine-year absence, and he subsequently moved on loan to Eastleigh for the 2023/24 campaign.
After playing 17 times for the Spitfires, Harris dropped into the National League permanently after being released from Brunton Park, and became an ever-present during the first half of his maiden season at Sutton, which was cut short by an Achilles injury sustained away at Rochdale in November.
The 25-year old has so far appeared 25 times for the U’s, impressing with his performances in the centre of the park which saw him voted August Player of the Season, as well as scoring three goals from midfield, with the pick of the bunch being his long-range strike at home to Ebbsfleet United in September 2024.
