Omari Mrisho

Omari Mrisho

Omari Mrisho made the loan switch from Huddersfield Town to Sutton in December 2025.

The Gambian right back arrived on a temporary deal from the League One side to reunite with Head Coach Chris Agutter, having worked together during their time at Brighton & Hove Albion, offering athleticism, pace and power on the flank during his time at the VBS Community Stadium.

After spending time as a schoolboy with the Seagulls, Mrisho moved to West Yorkshire on a scholarship in July 2022 and progressed through the Under-19s to feature regularly for the Club’s B Team, making the rise through the ranks at just 18 years old.

He was rewarded for his development by signing his first professional contract in May 2024, a two-year deal which would keep him with the Terriers until 2026, before replacing Lyndon Gooch earlier this season in a Vertu Trophy defeat to Harrogate Town to make his senior professional and Club debut.

The defender has otherwise impressed within the youth setup at the John Smith’s Stadium, and now embarked on his first professional loan with a switch to the National League.
