Sutton and Aldershot failed to find a goal to warm the crowd on a chilly Boxing Day afternoon. Despite the visitors having the better of the game overall it was Sutton who came closest when Lewis Simper hit the bar just before half time and Davide Rodari had a header cleared off the line, but neither goalkeeper was overworked in a largely disappointing game.
