Sutton United will be showing the upcoming UEFA European Women’s Championship Final between England and Spain live in the Rowlen’s Bar,

The Lionesses are set to take on La Roja on Sunday, 27th July (5pm KO) in their second successive Euro’s Final, and as the current holders, will be looking to maintain their title after beating Germany in the Final in 2022.

Despite kicking off the tournament with defeat to France in their opening group match, England qualified for the knockout stage as runners-up after thumping wins over the Netherlands (4-0) and Wales (6-1), before defeating Sweden on penalties to reach the Semi-Final.

A tense affair with Italy saw Sabrina Wiegman’s side fall behind from the half-hour mark after Barbara Bonansea broke the deadlock, but a 90+6th minute leveller from Michelle Agyemang rescued the Lionesses and send the tie to Extra Time, where Chloe Kelly struck with a minute to spare to secure consecutive Euro Final appearances for England.

Spain meanwhile topped Group B with a 100% record after wins over Portugal, Belgium and Italy, and have gone on to maintain their unbeaten run in this year’s tournament by beating Switzerland at the Quarter-Final stage, before overcoming the 2022 runners-up Germany to reach the Final.

U’s supporters are invited to watch both matches in the Rowlen’s Bar – which is open from 4pm ahead of kick-off an hour later.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible!
