Craig Dundas

Craig Dundas

Craig Dundas returned to Sutton  in a coaching capacity in June 2025, heading up the college programme alongside Sid Dack, who took charge of the Under-11’s and Under-13’s last season in the academy.

A former striker, Dundas returned to Gander Green Lane for a fifth time after being honoured for his impact on the club with a testimonial match, celebrating over 500 appearances across four spells as a player. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of a playing career that at the time had seen him make 442 appearances and score 96 goals, and since passed the 500 appearance and 100 goal mark to secure his place in 7th in the all time appearances list. Craig featured in two title-winning teams and has achieved cult-hero status with the supporters for his versatility and tenacity.

He originally joined the club’s coaching staff in 2016 before departing for Hampton & Richmond Borough for the 2018/19 season, but rejoined Sutton a year later. He subsequently took on a player/coach role during a further five years in SM1, before exiting again following the club’s relegation from League Two in 2024, at the age of 43.

Dundas spent the 2024/25 season in the Combined Counties League with local side Epsom & Ewell as a player/coach, but took charge of the side as manager alongside Max Johnson with seven games to go, leading the Salts to six wins along with a hard-fought victory in the Southern Combination Challenge Cup Final.

As a result, he was appointed in permanent joint-charge at Leg O’Mutton Field alongside Johnson, balancing his roles in Epsom along with the Sutton academy.
