Sutton have been drawn at home to Horley Town or Sheerwater in the Surrey Senior Cup quarter-final.
Chris Agutter has guided the U’s to success in the last two rounds of the competition, with a 5-0 romp over Guildford City to kick-start their campaign before dispatching of AFC Croydon Athletic in the previous round, with Eduino Vaz notching the decisive winner after Aaron Jones had opened the scoring.
Sutton’s prospective opponents meanwhile are set to go toe to toe for a place in the last eight on Tuesday, 16th December at the New Defence with Horley beating Virginia Water in the First Round, while Sheerwater overcame Redhill at the same stage back in October.
The U’s last faced Horley in their 2023/24 Surrey Senior Cup campaign, with an academy side reaching the Semi-Final via wins over Epsom & Ewell, Horley and Corinthian-Casuals, before losing in the last four to Farnham Town.
Sheerwater meanwhile were Sutton’s opponents in their last county cup campaign, with the Sheers winning on penalties at the VBS Community Stadium last season after Joden Trickett had contributed to a 1-1 draw.
A date and kick-off time will be confirmed in due course.
