Mo Dabre will be in the squad ahead of Saturday’s visit of Boston United, having shaken the knock that has kept him out of the last few games.
The Italian midfielder showed glimpses of his quality during brief appearances at the end of last month after recovering from a hamstring injury, which was sustained in a Behind Closed Doors’ pre-season friendly against Cambridge United, but he has been absent since the defeat to Boreham Wood.
However, the former Tonbridge Angels man has remained in and around the squad and has continued to train, with Interim Head Coach, Jon Meeney saying he will be in the squad for the Boston clash after recovering once more.
“We’ve been managing Mo Dabre. He’s another one who’s made the transition from part-time to full-time football, these lads, if you don’t manage them correctly, they’re going to be flogged.
We have a duty of care, anyone that understands the game and what goes into it, not just from a technical or tactical point of view, but player welfare and managing them physically.
We don’t want Mo Dabre to keep breaking down so we have to manage his loading correctly, but yeah, he’s in the squad tomorrow and he’s someone that reflects me. His energy and his honesty, and again, that’s what we’re going to need.”

Saturday will come too soon however for fellow midfielder Alex Woodyard, who continues to recover from a knock on his hyperextended knee, with the original target of four to eight weeks very much remaining the case. Harry Phipps meanwhile is being the given the best chance of returning to action quickly after missing out on Tuesday night’s draw with Woking.
Furthermore, a big positive saw Kane Crichlow return from a knock sustained in training, with the attacking midfielder making a five-minute cameo at the Laithwaite Community Stadium on Tuesday.
“Every individual within this group offers something different and it doesn’t matter if you’re starting or you’re on the bench.
When your moment comes, we want them to be their best version. We want them to play to their personalities, ad he’s someone that’s got really good quality on the ball.
He’s trustworthy, he’s reliable, he picks up really good positions between the lines and he can make something happen, and ultimately that can help us with our attacking product.”
