Osman Foyo will be available to go straight into the team ahead of tomorrow’s visit of FC Halifax Town.

The forward signed on loan from AFC Wimbledon earlier today and trained for the first time on Friday morning, with Head Coach Chris Agutter saying he will be in the squad for clash with the Shaymen.

“He can play in anywhere across front three, five attacking positions, anywhere across the frontline, can maybe play anywhere between the lines or as a ten as well.”

“We saw him play predominately wide right and up top last year for Chelmsford. He’s a very, very, very good player and he’ll give us another really healthy selection dilemma.”

Foyo has also come in to bolster the ranks at a key time after Brandon Njoku was forced to go off last week against Morecambe. A clash with Yann Songo’o saw the Shrimps defender take a chunk of his arm on the way to clearing a corner, but despite this, Agutter confirmed that Njoku should be okay to feature tomorrow after returning to full contact training during the backend of the week.

“He’s trained non-contact earlier in the week and full contact in the backend of the week.”

“He should be all good; he’s a tough lad with a great mentality, even if I said to him leave it he wouldn’t accept that, so I’m pretty sure he’ll be available for selection.”

There is also further boosts in defence, with Eduino Vaz and Jack Sims both returning to full training. The former has been absent since sustaining an MCL injury back in August against Forest Green Rovers, but is now available for selection and is in contention to appear for the first time under Agutter, while Sims will aim to be fit tomorrow, but with a more likely target to be next week’s visit to Truro City.

“Vaz is now available for selection, he’s in full training this week. Great quality, great energy around the group, great character, really good personality and you can’t put a price on that.

“That’s been really well-received and he’s very well thought of.”

“As for Sims; at a push he could be available tomorrow but will definitely be available next week which is great news.”

“He’s a great character, great personality, very very good goalkeeper who will help us win more games.”
