Chris Agutter and his First Team squad will be in action for tomorrow’s clash with Guildford City, with Sutton kick-starting their Surrey Senior Cup campaign at the First Round stage with a rearranged trip to the Spectrum.
The original match was originally meant to be taken by Glen Nichols and an academy team, but Agutter, who has twice won the county cup with Sussex side Hastings United, has opted to put full focus on the match himself.
“We’ve got to keep trying to develop the group and part of that is playing more games of football. We want to win games; momentum is a funny thing in football, we need to try and shift momentum in a more favourable direction and the Surrey Senior Cup game is a chance for us to get back on the winning road.”

After Saturday’s defeat at Wealdstone, the Head Coach touched on the need to turn the tide by preparing for the game as usual, and saw a group joined by only a handful of academy players take part in Tuesday’s open training session ahead of the trip to Guildford.
The match will once again come too soon for Edon Pruti, David Ogbonna and Eduino Vaz, but Alex Woodyard has continued to take part in full training and will be looking to make his first appearance since August.
Agutter will otherwise have a similar selection of players to choose from as he did on the weekend, with the midfielder the only returning player.
